A board made out of kiln dried walnut is characterized by its dark, rich brown heartwood and golden sapwood.
The color of my cherry boards varies from an orange of moderate intensity to a radiant and fiery red. It has a tendency to become a rich, deep amber over time.

Either walnut with cherry stripes or cherry with walnut stripes.
The cutting surface is approximately 13x7 inchs and the handle is about 6 inches long.
The exaggerated bevel on these cherry and walnut end grain cheeseboards not only function as a handle of sorts but it also makes it look as though your hors d’oeuvre floats over the table. The effect really emphasizes “display.”

The grain is oriented differently than most long grain boards; it is positioned so that you are cutting parallel to the grain instead of making a crosscut through the grain.
