Brooklyn Butcher Blocks makes standard 8-foot and custom wood countertops, kitchen island tops, tabletops and bar tops in Walnut, White Oak, Maple, Cherry and other hardwoods. Choose one of our standard countertop sizes or have a solid wood surface made to your dimensions and project specifications.

Lead time
Typically 4–6 weeks. Rush orders may be available.
Thickness
We generally recommend a minimum of 1¼" for long-grain surfaces and 1½" for end grain.

Pickup, Delivery & Shipping
Pickup, delivery and shipping are all available. For local and regional projects to NYC area and the Hudson Valley,
delivery can often be a better option than conventional shipping. For projects farther
away, we can arrange shipping or freight.

Choosing the Right Wood Surface
Edge Grain
A classic butcher block construction made from narrow strips of hardwood laminated together. Edge grain is durable, versatile and well suited to countertops, kitchen islands, bar tops and other large surfaces.
End Grain
Made with the ends of the wood fibers facing upward, end grain creates the distinctive block or checkerboard appearance traditionally associated with butcher block. It is especially well suited to statement kitchen islands and surfaces intended for cutting and food preparation.
Wood Species
Walnut offers rich color and variation, White Oak a lighter and more architectural appearance, Maple a clean and understated look, and Cherry a warm tone that deepens naturally with age.
