Little known fact: I make butcher block countertops. And I've made a lot of them of various sizes. I've made a 24x72x2 mahogany board for Hugh Magnum of Might Quinn's, a 40x50x2 walnut piece for a customer, and three 18x96x2 beech pieces for Fleisher's, a butcher shop in Park Slope. I've even made a piece 36x72x2 with a 10" fold out leaf and a slot cut out to accommodate a pole.
